I taped Smash! last night and just had the chance to watch the new NBC Show....

I can honestly say I was really looking forward to this show since it combines some very good actors with one of my weakness, musicals in general and show tunes in particular...

The whole idea of the story is the development of a new Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe. The drama is the competition between two unknown singers for the top role.

The two Ingénues are top notch talents and the original music is spectacular.

And even though it could appear as a dramatic version of The Voice, I think it will be far more entertaining as we get into the lives of all the people behind the scenes of a Broadway production.

So if you missed it, NBC is running it again on Saturday Night.

Compared with most stuff on free TV these days, it looks to be a good ride while it lasts.

but after watching about a half an hour of the show.. I wasn't too impressed.

I had to leave for work and maybe the second half was better but I was wanting to see more of the musical side and they were focusing on the characters I guess...

What did you think?

I can't pinpoint the exact reason but about 3 minutes in I said "I can't watch this shit." Looking forward to Awake though, starts next month.

That was pretty cool.

Smash was the third highest show on Monday night. The Voice, two and a half men were first and second....

It started a bit meh to me but by the end I was really into it. That being said maybe I should give Smash another chance, it may get better after the first 3 minutes lol. Reading some of the reviews it seems critics say the first 3 eps are slow. Eh, if it seems like it gets better from there and ratings are good I might download the eps. I don't want to get into a show I don't care for and may be cancelled. Just started watching The River right now, it's supposed to be good.
