at least with the fuel line, I can remind myself that the excise taxes alone on a replacement car would cost as much as the fuel line on my antique...

I just had to drop a bundle on my car-- after I got over the shock, I was glad I didn't get stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
But it hurts.
