coffee pot, car battery and radio and now the television have crapped out on me in the last week. thankfully we didn't have to replace the battery just yet and the husband can likely fix the tv, but this is getting absurd.

(68,918 posts)The week after I got it out of the shop for a $770 vent solenoid repair. It's going to cost $4185. Kind of a "Hey, you really are living on the edge, girl" moment for me.

(68,918 posts)I'm sorry everything is breaking around you. It really sucks.
I am currently on round two of the great GM argument (it's a Saturn Outlook), and I am hoping they will at least pay part of the repair.

(24,146 posts)dad covered most of my car expenses up until about a year ago and I quickly learned how expensive they are. i dream of living somewhere i don't need one.

(68,918 posts)The funny thing is, I traded in my trusty old car for this one, thinking it would give me no troubles with routine maintenance. Yeah. They are expensive for sure.

(14,881 posts)Thank you for the heads up. Remind me never to buy a Saturn. They should be replacing the tranny for free, imho. 65K miles is still a baby car in my universe!

(68,918 posts)I'm one of the "lucky/unlucky" ones in that some dropped at 25K. Of course, those were in warranty. GM refuses to acknowledge there was a definite problem. If you're going to buy an Outlook, Acadia, Enclave, Traverse, makes sure it's 2010 or later... funny how they've changed the transmission system that they claim there was nothing wrong with.
