The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThis afternoon I fixed the best grilled chicken,
corn on the cob, and mixed veggies on my Webber grill.
Ask me how I did it ... or don't
BUT ASK ME SOMETHING!!!!

(115,279 posts)but what seasonings do you use?
My not so secret recipe for beef fajitas is salt, pepper, lemon-pepper and Lowry's Season-All salt (um, MSG!). I'm a non-traditionalist so instead of bell peppers or onions, I like to slice up mushrooms instead.

(25,771 posts)so my wife came home with about 3 tons of huge chicken breasts
I used garlic salt, cracked pepper, oregano and rosemary. I doused them with peanut oil and a little Terriaki marinade then some garlic salt and rosemary (because I like garlic and rosemary on chicken - A LOT)
I let them sit in that until the refrigerator wore off of them
I peeled and slice beets about 1/4- 1/3 inch thick cut up some red potatoes and threw them in a zip lock w. some baby carrots, and added the above seasonings (did I mention I like garlic and rosemary - A LOT) and some of the peanut oils and tossed them around to et them all coated - put them in aluminum foil. I also threw in the rest of a tomato I had sliced for lunch.
5 ear of corn roasted in the husks. after the had roasted that way for a while I husked hen and pulled out he silks and turned them in the above seasoning/Oil mixture left from the chicken and put them back on the grill
before finishing the chicken and corn I brushed on some Webber BBQ sauce (I also like to use Rudy's Sissy Sause, but I was out - I get extra packets of Sissy Sause and do shots)
My wife said it was the best chicken she has ever eaten.

(115,279 posts)Your recipe sounds delicious plus the only things that either my brother or I know how to cook involves setting the timer for the microwave.

(38,851 posts)Of course when my family does it, we put half an apple or a lemon in the top crevice to keep all that liquid from evaporating (moist bird), and we put our favorite seasonings in the 1/2 can of beer.
