but (please don't hate me) I'd change the station whenever Madonna came on. (Seriously, it used to crack up my then-girlfriend to watch how quickly I'd switch over to something else.) Her music was really big at the time but I never got into it. The rest of the list, though? I especially like "One Night in Bangkok," "Shout" and "Don't You (Forget About Me)," the last mostly for it's connection to The Breakfast Club.

Apropos of nothing, I have a friend who thought for years that Aimee Mann of 'Til Tuesday was singing, "Goin' downtown, it's so scary" instead of "Keep it down now, voices carry" until I heard him singing along one day and burst out laughing. I still give him grief about that one.

That has to be one of the all-time BEST mis-heard song lyrics!!!

It ranks right up there with the sister of a friend of mine who thought Steve Winwood's "Bring Me A Higher Love" was "Give Me an Iron Lung."

Shows you how old we are, kids nowadays have probably never even heard of iron lungs!
