Assume sailboards were used in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day

Picture in your mind thousands of tan and buff Allied soldiers windsurfing their way to the beaches. Would the outcome of the battle have been different?

I find your post to be extremely offensive to the families who lost their husbands, brothers, fathers, and grandfathers in that battle of WWII. It iszalso offensive to me.

The admirals felt it infringed on their traditional role. De Gaulle was all for it, but only if French wind surfers were used in the first wave, so to speak.

John Kerry would have been elected in 2004 because the media would portray windsurfing not as an elitist leisure activity but as a patriotic celebration of America.

Toward the end of Kerry's term, John Edwards would have crashed & burned with the revelation of his inexcusably stupid infidelity, and in the wake of that scandal, Kerry's reelection would fail miserably. We'd be suffering through the second term of the McCain/Palin administration, looking forward to eight years of President Palin beginning in 2017.

The auto industry would be destroyed, the housing market would be deeper in the tank, the LGBT community would still have no real rights, and healthcare costs would continue to spiral out of control.

All because you want a cool photo op at Normandy. Why do you hate America?!?
