Maybe I won't change it, after all...
But I am going to join! It looks like fun!

It took me ages to come up with "femmocrat"!
On edit... When I read here that some DU user names were being copied over there, I decided to register right away, I played around with some variations, but came up with the very creative "femmocrat2"!!
I'll never remember who is who(m?) now. I did recognize some that were close, though. Thanks to those folks!

Although I am quickly discovering that some have major a pun-deficiency
femmocrat
(28,394 posts)I found "Bloomer" under "feminist" --- LOL. That might have been a cool name.
There were some darn good puns in your thread! I wish I was better at them! Some people are so clever.

(29,414 posts)Glad you liked the etymology site. I use it often, or just to look up a word out of curiosity.

(6,261 posts)I tried to create a new account (same name) and it says the name already exists. So I assumed the accounts were imported from here, but when I try to log in as Ron Obvious, it says I don't exist.
Clearly this new site was only created to filter me out. You guys could have just told me I wasn't wanted...
uriel1972
(4,261 posts)They've locked out DU names so they can't be stolen. You have to request permission to use DU names.
Ron Obvious
(6,261 posts)I seem to be running into that a lot lately. OK, now I keep getting:
No, it's clearly personal.

(19,288 posts)A confirmation in my email. I'll have a new user name. Finally the fresh start I've been waiting for.
With a little less sarcasm, fewer dark depressive predictions about Iraq, and all these years here practicing posting I should be seen as a friendlier person. I'll be cool.and popular.

(24,303 posts)It's fun using different identities. No ulterior motives, just a fun game. I do it on other forums, too.
The real fun is when someone is your friend on one forum and for no reason hates you on another one.

(41,987 posts)That's not my user name, I'm just there incognito.
We should start a Twenty Questions thread to figure out who everyone is, though I might enjoy being a different person for a while.

It's fun trying to see if I can figure out who everyone is. Even if I don't figure it out, it's still cool.

and it wasn't me. Any posts there by frogmarch are from an impostor!
EDIT: I just learned that Skinner protected DU names from being used, and if we want to use our DU names, we need to email him. Yay! I am glad no one is using "frogmarch" but me.
