Soldier Adopts Dog That Saved His Life



Layka, a military combat dog who toured Afghanistan, was shot four times at point-blank range. Despite the attack, she was able to save her handler and other members of the team. Now, Layka lives happily with Staff Sergeant Julian McDonald and his family.

What an amazing relationship they have. I'm so glad he was able to adopt her as I know it can be difficult to get the dogs home.

at . 44 sec " I owe everything".... Layka is happy and safe, Staff Sargent has his son safe. Sometimes life is really really good.
