(24,931 posts)Used for field dressing deer. The existence of this product is enough to keep me from ever thinking about hunting.

(20,176 posts)As someone pointed out in V/V/AR, the ear-cleaning brand name is named after an adjective for "regarding or having to do with rodents, specifically mice."
To wit, a murine researcher is a person who studies mice or a researcher who is a mouse, depending on context.

(20,176 posts)Horehound is an herb native to Italy and Africa. It looks like mint, grows like a weed, animals and insects hate it and it's used to make folk-medicines due to its' properties as a cough-suppressant and anti-emetic.
It tastes like crap.

(13,874 posts)Circumstances caused these old-time brands to have to rename themselves or disappear. One was a weight loss OTC concoction called Ayds; it vanished sometime in the 1980's. The other was caught up in the fundamentalist revival that occurred a few years back; it was a headache powder called 666. I remember the Reagans successfully petitioned to have their CA addressed re-numbered because it was 666.
