Have you ever experienced weird memory loss? I went out last night to an event, didn't have that much to drink, work up this morning and have no recollection of how I got home. I was not too worried, until I started looking for my cellphone. There was a strange voicemail message on it, from some guy I've never heard of, saying that he had come out to look for me, but I'd left already. WTF? Nothing on my call log either, just the voicemail. I checked my car this morning, it is parked perfectly straight, no dents or damage - and I would have had to navigate across 2 major highways to get home, so I was not drunk. I have no recollection of leaving the party,or how I got home.

Any strange smells coming from the trunk of your car?

(7,699 posts)flashbacks during dreams. Putting those flashes together with the conversations I had with the male friend
of mine a few days after the party, conversations that never previously had made sense, I suddenly was
able to make 'sense' of what happened: something was put in my drink. It wasn't even an alcoholic beverage.
Not pretty. Hope I never run into this person again. Fortunately I live in a different state so that is quite unlikely.

(25,485 posts)I think the guy that left the message spiked the drink...I prob took off in my car, as I didn't feel good...what is scaring the crap out of me, is what would have happened if I got in an accident, because someone spiked my drink?

....which makes what could have happened so much scarier!

(110,159 posts)i hope you get your answers. you feel like it is something you would like to have. know. what happened to you. i would. and it would stay forefront in the mind until i had the answers. then stay a lifetime that someone had the audacity (so much stronger, but..) .... to do this to you.
i really cannot imagine you were the driver. drugged. so. who drove? balance is not all that great, drugged and that would effect driving, i would imagine.
i am sorry this happened.

Maybe this guy was just someone who noticed something was up and was legitimately going to make sure you got home ok. Or maybe not. Anyway unless there was more info in the voice mail or from other people that makes you strongly suspect him, I might try to find out more from him about what happened. Or better yet, see if you can find anything out from other people first. Still, I would defer any trust for this guy until the question is solved, but I would also defer assuming he's the guilty one.
But in any case, glad you got home ok. Also I appreciate your posting this because it is a good warning to other people. If you go out, don't leave your glass unattended except (maybe) only with very well trusted friends.

Unless you're imagining you drank a lot less than you did I would try to find out what people who were around know about what happened. Just for safety's sake.
