was a disappointment to us. Great books nearly always make disappointing movies because they paint such a unique picture in the mind of each reader - it is impossible to translate that which we paint to one common version.

Those who haven't read the book will probably be more impressed.

the time. I think the only exception may be "To Kill A Mockingbird". I haven't read this particular book so I'll give the movie a chance and see if it draws me in. Well, at least now I'm motivated to read the book which I've been wanting to do anyway. Thanks for your input!

were Remains of the Day, Howard's End, The Hours, Mrs. Dalloway - it isn't impossible, just unlikely!
