(60,014 posts)was a disappointment to us. Great books nearly always make disappointing movies because they paint such a unique picture in the mind of each reader - it is impossible to translate that which we paint to one common version.
Those who haven't read the book will probably be more impressed.

(448 posts)the time. I think the only exception may be "To Kill A Mockingbird". I haven't read this particular book so I'll give the movie a chance and see if it draws me in. Well, at least now I'm motivated to read the book which I've been wanting to do anyway. Thanks for your input!
