Another group of survivors is introduced, and although things appear safe and nice, there is a bit of a dark side.New Zealand promo:

(43,867 posts)I'm waiting for a group of Millennialists who think this is the start of Armageddon.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I would think?
And, I agree as well. Any group of survivors probably has some sort of dark side to them if they're 18-24 months into the apocalypse.

(43,867 posts)How about a survivalist community or a family in a bomb shelter completely unaffected or unaware of the zombie apocalypse?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)seemed to be kind of survivalists. The book World War Z called them LMOs - Last Men on Earth - as the humans were fighting their way back from the west coast across America, they'd run into people that were holed up in fortified homes in remote areas thinking they were the Last Man on Earth.
Also I would think that in some more remote areas, there should be plenty of people that are okay - Metro Atlanta is 6 million or so people and the state or Georgia is around 10 million. Montana has 1 million people in almost 3 times the area as all of Georgia. Doing the math, GA has 165 people per square mile, Montana has less than 7 - Even if you're the sole survivor in a 10 square mile area in Montana, you're dodging 70 zombies in that area... in Georgia, it's 1,650 zombies in that same area. Of course, being a red state, Montana might have fallen into a Fox News & Rush Limbaugh induced panic, which would have made the matters exponentially worse.
slow night so far...

(46,709 posts)Hey, did you see what Murphy did on Z-Nation? Took the food from two survivors, and then allowed their zombie husband/father access to their hideout?
Cold blooded.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)That was pretty asshole-ish of Murphy. Seems like he may end up the King of the Zombies or something.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)that somebody else gets bitten tonight... the way the article was written, I could not tell if it was Beth or Carol, but one of those two.

(46,709 posts)I thought we already figured out that if you have to hole up somewhere to sequester yourself from the zombie apocalypse, that a Walmart was the best option? Not only does it have food, supplies and toilet stalls, but guns and ammo and the buildings are built more sturdy than Targets.
I'm thinking, a Walmart in the same shopping center as a Home Depot should do. For the lumber.

(56,828 posts)is where Beth is... the cop says Beth owes them
NewJeffCT

Brigid
(17,621 posts)That doesn't sound good.
not at all.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)very interesting. Another cop in the hallway
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)weird
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)interesting
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)the cop was on a stationary bike. Some guy there complaining about being bored...
eating guinea pigs?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)the cop orders the doctor to try to save the guy, then when he seemingly can't, the cop slaps Beth?
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)collecting that debt.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)I'm almost afraid to wonder why.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)now that I think about it
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)they're looking for the weak ones?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)made it. Seems to like Beth now
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)of The Walking Dead that a woman has been in charge of a group of survivors... nice change of pace, even if she's evil as well.

(56,828 posts)the asshole cop and the lollipop
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Right?
not exactly subtle
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)then said he told her to give him another medicine? WTF Doc?
Iris
(15,657 posts)Survival, I guess.
Edit: Oh, yes. I see now.
I was typing that as the show was going on - I thought he told her the medication she got and administered. However, he later said another medication and I wasn't sure if it was a mental/stress/fatigue error on his part, or if it was purposeful... or if I had heard wrong earlier.
However, it's apparent it was intentional on his part - didn't want competition from another doctor.

(46,709 posts)Too bad she didn't know her zombie-self was able to deliver a little karma.
Though, you know, she had to know she would become one.
Was that his office?

(56,828 posts)Beth & Noah go to escape, and then Noah escapes and Beth gets re-captured. I wonder if Noah is the person who is with Daryl?
Brigid
(17,621 posts)And Noah told him.about Beth, and maybe Daryl has come back to the group to get help rescuing her. Maybe next week there will be a rescue.
Beth will be on "Talking Dead".
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)From some the photos from the filming of this season, it looks like Ricks engaged in this fight too.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)maybe Daryl and Noah get the gang to go back for Carol & Beth?
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)something with rick involved in a car chase with the cross people's cars.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)and, it's a good 600-650 miles from Atlanta to DC
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Carol!
Dawn doesn't know it, but she's really stepped in it now.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)that was quite the ending with Carol being wheeled into the hospital as Beth was about the kill the doctor
charlie and algernon
(13,447 posts)the hell happened there at the end?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)and, something similar happens to when Beth got snatched - these guys take Carol and then bring her to the hospital?
Baitball Blogger
(46,709 posts)This is getting better and better.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)during the escape. killing the bad cop, then blasting away at the walkers...

(5,604 posts)observing and sniping from nearby vantage point.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)but, when I heard the shots go off at the end that were not her gun, I initially thought it was Carol.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)but thankfully Beth is back in the story. I think its evident that she is no longer the wall flower that she was a season or 2 ago.
I think next week the story will be split between and Abraham's group, and the main group begin an assault on the hospital.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I hope they don't let the Daryl & now Carol cliffhangers out there for another week as the entire episode will be Abraham, Glenn, Maggie, Rosita and Eugene
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Noah and Beth will eventually get together?
the greene sisters coming out okay in terms of relationships?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)carol is a Trojan Horse who let herself be captured, then she'll wreak havoc from inside, with Daryl and Noah outside?
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Since we don't know the time line, it could be. But Beth would be wise not to let on that they know each other.
Baitball Blogger
(46,709 posts)would have taken her. How would she know that they would take her too?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)they could have just shot her & let her die.

(12,778 posts)Hopefully it will lead to an interesting angle, but I just kept waiting to see some of the regulars last night.
Baitball Blogger
(46,709 posts)her character's face. Unless a plastic surgeon surfaces.
I'm guessing the scars will be a metaphor to indicate that she's has undergone a metamorphosis.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I don't think many guys would kick her out of bed for having a scar on her face.
good point on the metaphor, though.
miyazaki
(2,243 posts)-as the latest episode proved. Though I realize they're setting
up another storyline. With too many players involved, it seems there needs
to be a major bloodbath. And the gore/shock factor is about the only trick the producers
have left, (like so many shows). To me, The Governor was the last somewhat interesting character
they had.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)but, it did show how much her character has changed since season 2 when she almost killed herself. I'm not a big fan of Beth either, though I don't hate her, either. You can't expect Emily Kinney to turn into The Most Interesting Woman in the World with fewer lines than the Most Interesting Man has in his Dos Equis commercials.
