https://www.yahoo.com/food/lunch-delivery-fail-the-hardware-in-the-pita-bread-102022366586.htmlWhen you order an Athenian salad with a side of pita bread, the last thing you expect to get is a giant metal nut baked right into your bread. But thats what happened to a Yahoo editor in New York yesterday. It wasnt just any nut, but a rather large, heavy one sticking right out of the bread, as you can tell from the photo. Its shocking that any eatery employee would have missed this, given the obvious lump it created and the additional heft.
As far as epic lunch delivery fails go, a hunk of metal is bad, but another media outlet had it worse than Yahoo. Last December, an employee at The Wall Street Journal ordered a salad and found a frog in it.
When contacted, the manager at the midtown vegetarian eatery responsible for the pita asked to see a photo via email. Upon examining the photo, he explained that it wasnt a random metal bit that had fallen into the dough, but a spacer used to set apart the pitas as they bake in the oven. Apparently the staff wasnt paying attention. He apologized profusely and offered to put a gift certificate in the mail....
So what about a refund? The manager couldnt do that, he said, because the order was placed through the Seamless online delivery service.

What's the guy complaining about? He got his full recommended daily allowance of iron! And as for the frog, they should charge extra for a "French salad".

.... included in his "home made clam sauce" dish. Someone apparently opened the can and flipped it over on the pasta leaving the jagged can top right where it fell.
