(17,005 posts)BRRRRRRR! 30s' and 40s, depending what county.
Watching the weather and report says back in the 80's by this weekend!
Stay warm and safe friends!

I am NOT going outside!
Tomorrow it should get up to 55 but back down to 24 tomorrow night.
I think I'll spend tomorrow baking - it will help keep the house warm.

(17,005 posts)Yesterday I made homemade chicken vegetable soup with baked chicken and it warmed the house nicely.
I feel for my friends up north and family in Massachusetts. I couldn't take the brutal winters they have.
I have been in Florida since 1978, two years in South Florida and the rest here in Central.
Northern Florida I've visited during hurricane escapes, very nice.
Enjoy your baking friend!

(72,300 posts)I'm not standing outside long enough to put my signs up and down again.
The wind would have blown my car sideways. I hate it when that happens.

(17,005 posts)Glad you had made the wise decision to stay in, very scary when the wind moves your car.
I just step outside and it's the wind that makes it so much colder then what it is...but where you are, it's just brutal!
I threw out cardboard boxes for the strays in the neighborhood, they surely are appreciating it.
You be careful on the road with your job in winter my dear friend.

(72,300 posts)The celebrated singers took on the classic holiday ditty, editing a few of the questionable lyrics that deal with alcohol, cigarettes, and sexual consent. The pair swapped "Say what's in this drink / No cabs to be had out there," with "Say was that a wink? / No cabs to be had out there," and "I ought to say no no no sir / Mind if I move in closer," for "I ought to get home for dinner / Mind if I move in closer."
They also made the song more suited to the younger set, replacing "Well maybe just half a drink more / Put some records on while I pour," with "Well maybe just a soda pop more / Put some records on while I pour," and "But maybe just a cigarette more / Never such a blizzard before" for "But maybe just another dance more / Never such a blizzard before."
