Took a long walk this morning, just me and the birds, 21 degrees but no wind...

You'll think I'm lying, but it felt great! I have the opposite of SAD. I am miserable in the warmer months and happiest when it's cold. I couldn't wait to get out and walk this morning. I usually walk with a neighbor but it is too cold for her and I did not see another walker the whole time. There was one runner who looked as happy as me.

I wouldn't mind a few months of this.

I walk EVERY morning with my dog, Snowy, and this morning it was 17 degrees when we went out. We did
cut our walk short--about 30 minutes instead of 45-50--but it was quite enjoyable.

My old brown bear can't handle the walks anymore. I am considering asking my neighbor if I can take her dog but I think it will need a little coat.

Did you see the picture of the dog with all the snow at the door? It's in this thread...

I love the dark and cold of winter - much prefer it over the heat and sunshine of summer.
My kids think I am nuts.

Used to love winter sports and indoor sports, but my day for that is gone due to arthritis. But I still love winter.

quiet snowy winter nights highly preferred over sweltering summer days/nights

I took my dogs on a shortish walk this morning. It's somewhere in the 20s, but cloudy and windy. Still, it was good exercise
