Anybody? Bueller?
I've been:
catpower2000
janesez
Phillycat
and now auntpurl. I started posting on DU in May 2001. I haven't posted here since about 2009, and there were some other breaks in between there when I had to get my personal stuff together, or take a break from politics and the particular craziness of DU. I had a strong urge to stop by today after the combo one-two of the amazing SCOTUS decision and President Obama's beautiful eulogy in Charleston. I've lived in Europe since 2008 and today I am missing America, and feeling very proud to be American.
So who's been around since the old days? Roll call!

I've been a member since then, but with periodic extended absences. My profile has always (meaning for a long time, not from the beginning) just shown me from 2002, not sure what I did to cause that, or if it was the switch to DU2 or something that did it.

(2,959 posts)so when I got service back I signed on as mulsh. sometime in 2003 there was a problem with DU's servers which is why I now show member since 2003 before July 6.
But I've beean here since the around the beginning. I learned about the site at work. Some time in 2001 an IS tech made FR the office home page. lmost as soon as I read the posts on that site I knew I was in the wrong place but they were bitching about DUmmies. I found DU that day which must have been very early in both sites history. The IS guy got fired for his little prank. I've been here pretty much every day since them. I don't post much but like others I've learned a lot.
Remember the great user name change?

I was banned and thought...to hell with DU..I would find a like group to join. I looked and looked and looked...none even close.
I changed my nomenclature and sneaked back in..been here ever since.
Aristus
(66,468 posts)I had been lurking since March, badly needing a place to go with my anger and frustration over sElection 2000. I saw the DU link on BushWatch and clicked on it.
There has scarcely been a day since then when I haven't logged on for at least a little bit.
I've been Aristus since Day One.
Welcome back!
