My daughter likes to do calligraphy, and she's pretty good at it......but it's not her life's passion!

I hope he can get more folks to write the way he does. It doesn't look good...schools are phasing out cursive handwriting.

It's honestly a waste of educational resources and time for a skill that has less use for students than justifiable...it needs to go the way of using a slide-rule, typesetting and other outdated skills.

Cursive penmanship education still needs to die. It's a niche skill and we need to identify the ones that need to be abandoned to make room for new niche skills.

Yes, I learned typesetting as a journalism major at university.
Late 50s.

I had a good career as a flight engineer.
That position no longer exists in modern aircraft.

I was a bartender.
That's still a job in upscale establishments, but it's more 'dial in the drink' and shoot the nozzle now.

If I were young enough I'd go back to cutting grass.
Grass always needs cutting.
