I didn't hate clowns growing up. I still don't. Is there something wrong with me ?!

(81,883 posts)I'm going to say no, but I'm not sure. Ronald McDonald wouldn't exist if people always hated clowns.
Have adults always hate clowns?

(7,350 posts)and I never really liked watching him, I'd just wait for the cartoons he would show... Also I liked the Red Skelton Show, but the clown character he played I didn't like. They just were not funny to me in my single digit years. It was just a base reaction. (to tell the truth, when I was little I never liked the circus, either)
Later on there were things like serial killer John Wayne Gacey, the TV miniseries "It", movies like "Shakes the Clown" and "Killer Clowns From Outer Space"...none of these put clowns in a good light.
Never cared much for mimes or harlequins either...although the Joker, Riddler and Harley Quinn are good Batman villains.
