Does the "new" Colonel Sanders creep out you folks, too?

(It would have been more interesting if they'd gone with Zombie Colonel S...indicating that the "eleven herbs and spices" might have reanimating effects).

What response do the rest of you have to the Colonel-From-Beyond-The-Bluegrass-Grave?

BTW...what on Earth is that "smilie" or "icon"? It looks like an enraged bran muffin.

most all of the results call it "angry muffin" so...it's seemingly exactly what it looks like.

Guess the guy has to do something to keep himself in cut-priced ramen.

I was a child at the time. The Colonel and I were relaxing on the porch swing, discussing whose chicken tasted better.
It was Grandma's Biscuits (Atlanta area restaurants) v. KFC. I told him I liked his but that I like crispy chicken best.

We also talked about how school was going and other stuff.

I don't like any of the new commercials. Not put off by them, merely don't like them.

Harland Sanders was very well-mannered and nice. He was kind to me.

(it's just weird that they'd have someone play him in the ads again when the actual guy has been dead for years now and everybody knows it).

I sort of liked the Extra Crispy, but it always bugged me that they didn't use the Eleven Herbs and Spices on it. Left it tasting crunchy but bland. My fave was Barbecue Style(messy as hell, but good!!!!!)

But I liked Grandma's Biscuits fried chicken best.

I occasionally have fried chicken now, but I make it myself.

I think it's weird they have people playing him in commercials. I'll wager some people don't know he was a real person.

Acknowledging how creepy their brand icon is/was before abandoning it and moving on.

And romanticism of antebellum slave culture is bizarre.

(On another note, that was an aspect of ALL IN THE FAMILY that no one on the show ever commented on was that Archie Bunker was rabidly anti-black, yet his favorite foods were generally soul-food dishes).
