Did you ever hear a very popular but horrid tune (usually some emo thing) on radio

Absolutely terrible but by some (likely) one-hit-wonder (likely) boy band, and wonder if they would just get laughed off of American Idol if they had gone that route? I can't name any names because I refuse to send my brain in that direction, but I heard one yesterday that I hadn't heard for 10+ years and it was appalling bad as it was when I originally heard it. How it got on the radio is beyond me, and how it got popular just beggars belief.

HATE that damn song.

Everything about that song is just whiny and makes me want to slap the singer.
It just gives me a slap trigger I don't know why.
