(11,945 posts)I wish you both every happiness and would love to hear the story behind one of the cutest (and yummy-looking) wedding cakes I ever seen!

(32,723 posts)I've seen it the other way too with coconut cake with pineapple filling.
She fell in love with the topper we found at Party City.

(20,209 posts)Do they offer toppers where the man is the one dragging the woman? After all, Joe Biden had to ask Jill 5 tines before she said yes.

(11,945 posts)Plus, it looked way more inviting than the stiff, formal ones.
What's really cool is that your wife has wit and humor to match your own. My ex could make me mad in so many ways, but then he'd say something so astute and funny that everything else melted away.
Even when you've lived together for a time, it somehow feels different after you get married.
I'm happy for you and your wife, Spitfire. I love it when good things happen to good people.

(11,945 posts)Maybe you should go riding with him; it could be fun and make for some family bonding. My favorite little-old-lady aunt told me that she loved riding motorcycles with my uncle in her younger days. Not sure what you like to read, but you could always warm up to the idea with Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

(11,945 posts)but fell asleep trying to read about it. Must be great fun for the mechanically inclined.
You may feel old, but I'll bet your mustachioed SIL is glad you're his FIL. Sounds like things are working out just the way they're supposed to.

Gave him a garage remote to let himself back in.

He's finally able to get around and he's weaning himself from the pain killers so he feels better than he has in months. He's sick of feeling like he's walking through a fog. His friends are gathering to wish him well. Many haven't seen him since the accident.

(11,945 posts)Good thing he's resilient and has good family and friends -- that really helps. Yeah, there are some real problems with motorcycle riding.
I'll bet he had a great time last night with his friends. I hope his recovery will be complete and he can go back to being a paramedic, or whatever he wants to do. He's lucky to have you two.
