The little bugger landed right in the spot that wasn't covered by the squirrel trap and took the food. He used the wall to bounce off for the perfect landing.

...feeder last Saturday. By Sunday afternoon, the enterprising little critters had figured it out.

They jumped against the picture window, flipped in mid-air and made it there. Then I moved it further away, and they climbed along the rope to it. Finally I made a baffle by stringing a series of inch-long copper tubes and washers, a couple feet long on each side of the feeder (and several feet away so they couldn't jump over it to the feeder). Once they reached that section, it was impossible for them to climb over it without slipping off. I had won!

I'd love to see it. Am fighting squirrels who are trying to raid a bird feeder.

(It was years ago.)







Hardest part was cutting up the copper tubing into 1-inch sections.
