I had no idea that it was still even a thing, and had no idea what this Pokémon Go deal was until everyone started mentioning it this weekend.

I still don't really understand what it's about nor do I really care to, but I still managed to be annoyed by people talking about it.

And this is their 'nostalgia' touchstone, I guess.

I don't get it either, but we've got a young adult in the family who could explain it in excruciating detail--he was an enthusiast as a child.

I don't play it but I think the enthusiasm is delightful. Nintendo, once again, puts the fun back in gaming.

Next month will see a drastic downsizing of Pokemon Go stories, except for complaints about said bills.

Does the game place them randomly, or do people place them, or what? If they get captured, are they gone, or can others also capture the same one?

I still have some Pokemon stuff from when my son was a kid, wonder if it will have any value now?

Are they on the phones of everybody in that vicinity? and if someone captures it, does it go away for everyone else?

He was looking at his cell phone the entire time searching for Pokemon monsters and almost EVERY OTHER KID and young adult we passed doing the same thing. It was surreal. Son was walking slightly ahead of me, running into low-hanging branches and posts.
