It's a well known scientific fact that tortoises like to assemble in gangs to play pranks on their unsuspecting pals by knocking them on their back in the first place so as to punish them for some transgression or other. They've probably run away laughing just before one of them turns the camera on in order to show himself as the do-gooder hero the internet now thinks he is. He was probably laughing his shell off with his mates just a few minutes earlier.

He doesn't fool me.
