1. The croc pictures are from Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia

I was living there at the time. The guy was a tourist, working on that boat. He tried to get the croc to come closer by banging on the boat and even using his hand to splash the water, even though the locals (and his mate) were yelling at him not to be stupid. He's very lucky he survived. If he'd lost his balance and fell overboard or the croc landed on the tinny, he was gone.

Is the bird in the 4th photo a cassowary? Looks like it and the background could be Australian. They're generally shy, but steer clear and don't pick a fight. Or you'll get one.

Does anyone know how the guys with the polar bear and the hippo went? You have to hope the driver's door was unlocked in that car. Polar bears have feet that give pretty good grip on ice and I wouldn't want to try and outrun one. Hippos are pretty quick too.
