Just a couple modest but thoughtful gestures, but nothing like the mad consumption the PTB would have us all chase at every holiday season.

I've also been blessed with hugs and hellos with strangers, oddly, this season.

Very nice!

of one family member to give a gift at Christmas. We have three small children, they still get a gift from each of us.

We are not a big family. We put a $ cap on the gift. Then each member donates that dollar amount into a pool. We as a family then pick a charity to donate that money. It has gone to many places. Food banks, Doctors without Borders, etc.

You are right it is about Community! It is about giving back.

Random acts of kindness this season? Yes, I too have seen them. I have been the recipient of several. It gives me hope.

it is not about the money that you can give. You Know that. It is the little things, the kind things that we can share with others.

Every act of kindness speaks volumes. It is the random acts that can mean so much...small or large. The love that we show to each other can be awesome!
