It's still unfortunate, but the site isn't losing all of Marx and Engels, most of their work is in the public domain.

(32,342 posts)But like DemocracyinKind said, they have the copyright on this translation, which they produced. The publishers want to have their own digital edition to sell to universities, which you know, how big of a market is that at this point? Maybe there is, I don't know,
That still doesn't make it accessible to us proles.

(3,920 posts)They may sell some copies for university libraries, but my students get a link to Marxists.org on their syllabus for History of Economic Ideas. Universities love free stuff, but may not be aware that it is available.
