Related: About this forumTCM Schedule for Thursday, November 12, 2015 -- What's On: 25th Anniversary of Milestone Films
In prime time, TCM is featuring films from Milestone Films. As they say on their website, "Milestone was started in 1990 by Amy Heller and Dennis Doros out of their New York City one-room apartment and has since gained an international reputation for releasing classic cinema masterpieces, groundbreaking documentaries and American independent features. Thanks to the companys work in rediscovering and releasing important films such as Alfred Hitchcocks Bon Voyage and Aventure Malgache, Charles Burnetts Killer of Sheep, Kent Mackenzies The Exiles, Lionel Rogosins On the Bowery, Mikhail Kalatozovs I Am Cuba, Marcel Ophulss The Sorrow and the Pity, the Mariposa Film Groups Word is Out, Shirley Clarke's The Connection and Ornette: Made in America, Milestone has long occupied a position as one of the countrys most influential independent distributors."And let me apologize for the late posting and lack of the usual details. I'm out of town on business, and simply have not had time to pull in the fun facts that I know some of you enjoy. So try to enjoy!
