How did "The Seventh Veil" really end? *** SPOILER ALERT ***

Last edited Mon Aug 13, 2012, 01:08 PM - Edit history (1)

Everything I can find on google seems to agree that the pianist chose the James Mason character (Nicholas) in the end. I just watched the movie and that isn't what I saw.

She came down the staircase into the room where Nicholas and her other admirers were waiting. Then she ran past them and opened the double doors into another room and into the arms of a man who was too far away from the camera for me to see his face.

WTF?

Congratulations. You were the only person in the world not watching the Olympic Closing Ceremony

BTW The only movie I appreciated James Mason is was Lolita. Which goes to show I should not be up typing on DU at 3:30am

I have edited the OP to add a spoiler alert. I hope nobody's experience was spoiled.

... I was given a description of the plot, and yes, the viewer is supposed to believe our heroine chose Nicholas.

I would end it just as she appeared at the top of the stairs.

Then people could argue endlessly about whom she would choose.
