(19,459 posts)I posted most of these about three years ago. My oldest daughter was in her last year of Med School at Drexel, and i went and spent a month with her in January of that year. January in Philadelphia could have been real nasty, I suppose, but the weather, while very cold, was clear most of the time. Made for some lovely, strikingly blue skies.
Glad to see you are surviving the rain. I hope we get some clear weather soon.
EDIT: These were all taken with my Canon point-and-shoot, an SX200 IS.

(19,459 posts)You're right; it is certainly a lovely drive at night with all of the lights, especially on cold, clear nights.
We visited Philly several times while my oldest daughter was there, and thoroughly enjoyed the city. She graduated med school a couple years ago and is now back on the West Coast, so I don't know when (or if) we'll get back there.
If you are a denizen of Philly you will probably recognize these places:

The shot of Monk's is a bit, uh...fuzzy. After a couple of high-octane Belgian ales even the monopod couldn't save me.
