ancient meets modern

santa monica california. this is the view from the camera obscura,taken with a modern dslr. a camera obscura is an ancient device that was a predecessor of the camera. it lets an image be displayed on a flat surface. the image can then be accurately drawn if desired. if operates similar to a pinhole camera

This past summer as part of an arts festival and I'll probably be building it again for Worldwide Pinhole Day for a local museum.
