He changed the tempo and slowed it down dramatically.

The street, the chill in the air, his composition of the tune...I get goosebumps looking at this image a year later.

First, it's the textures. The composition of soft natural fibers and bushy hair, all in earth tones, give the pic an overall soothing feel contrasted with the hard plastic of the keyboard at the center of the photo.

What I really like though, is his apparent level of immersion in his music. He looks like he doesn't give a crap if anyone's listening or not as long as he can hear it.

Nice capture.

This man plays here regularly. It's outside a downtown Rochester coffee shop surrounded by the Eastman School of Music campus.

You noticed very well that his level of immersion is intense, he puts a lot of emotion into his music, its almost heart wrentching...

For a few weeks he would come down to Washington Square Park and play when Occupy Rochester took up quarters.

Thank you for the kind words...

But -
I must say - I had one in mind from the get go -and yours reminded me of another - so I don't know which I'll enter, either.
Your photo is phenomenal. I love the color. The keyboard.
Everything sings.

Such rich colors, a crisp and clean photo and a compelling story to boot!
