Either 5.1 or 4.7 depending on source. I thought it was just my imagination or the dog moving around. It felt small compared to yesterday. Think calming thoughts toward Alaska, please.

(46,436 posts)Not my photo. It was posted at the Alaska Dispatch website with a bunch of other photos from residents. I should have attributed. This was taken two or three miles from where I live.
I just tried to find who took that photo, but it's not with the others. Maybe I saw it on Facebook. Anyway, it's not mine, so I can't take credit.

(31,397 posts)I was an undergrad at UCLA when the 1971 Sylmar (San Fernando) quake hit. It was 6.6
My roommate and I thought it was the end of the world. The shaking seemed to go on and on and on.
Lots of aftershocks, too.

I had already been living in SoCal for 6 years--so I was familiar with the little stuff--but that one scared
