Related: About this forumVisited Normandy this month for the first time.
Beautiful land, wonderful people. Tons of history, both recent (WWII) and past. One amazing part was seeing the Bayeux Tapestry. No photos, of course but what a treat to see this 1000 year old piece of art.
So... some of my favorite shots and places. Go and enjoy France!

(149,726 posts)In the first one, I see a few people on top of the cliff and a few more down on the beach; they are too small to count!
Really really wonderful pictures. I've been to Normandy but we saw different places and I wasn't shooting digital then. Your stained glass picture makes me drool!
I gotta get back there.

(31,407 posts)Lovely photos! So many memories. My husband and I spent a month in France--
driving all over--on our honeymoon in 1985.
All my photos from our trip were destroyed in our house fire in 2007.

(18,668 posts)Now this cracked me up. I took it w/my phone in a HyperU (kinda like Walmarty/Targety). And ENTIRE AISLE OF CHOCOLATES! And not crap chocolates! I took another one I shared on FB of another entire wall of WATERS! My friend in France asked me why I took a photo of water. I told her that in the US we have about 3 feet of water. And entire wall! ooh la la!!

(115,681 posts)Mon beau-frère vit en Normandie. It is a very interesting and historic area with so much to see. Welcome back to the country of boring bread, cheese and cidre.

(18,668 posts)and went yesterday to the Farmer's Market (excellent booze section) and could only find American hard cider so I bought a four pack. Glad you enjoyed.
