Architecture, Art and Reading. How much better can it get?

Yesterday I gathered my son and grandson, both graduates of UNCSA - North Carolina School of the Arts - and we went to visit the brand new library they built at what is the highest spot in the city.At night it is a hugely beautifully lit beacon in the sky, and it's in walking distance from my house.
It was not meant as a photo taking visit, but I did have my camera.

I learned that anyone can get a library card there, and among the wonderful artwork are many areas where one can sit in the streaming light and read. The last photo is at a seating area where I plan to go as a new destination, take a book, get into it, and away from everything else

Libraries have long been refuges from the madness, and you've got a grand one right next door!

I hope it will provide you with the sanctuary you need while our world goes mad.

Even if it is just the reflection of the sky.

Good eye for the lines and composition.

#1 and #4 are my favorites, but they're all nice. It feels like I'm standing under those overhangs in #1. And #4 just feels good to me. I especially like the colors, and their distribution.

BTW, it is better to have a camera and not need it, than to need a camera and not have one.
