Related: About this forumLola update! It's a month later, and look at what she owns now.
I fixed up a place for her to be hooked to the seat, and took her to Lowes Hardware to begin teaching her to come along with me. It was the third trip coming with me, and the first one she did not throw up in.
I took these with my iphone!

(11,686 posts)You do have her secured so she can not run around when the car is moving?

(22,380 posts)She is tethered to the seat, into a basket type thing, and she understands the words "get on your bed" and to stay there is enforced by the short leash of about 6 " to the seat. She is contained totally, but surely does not look miserable
Having her is exhausting, and a challenge, but I'm having a great time training her into a great companion.

(11,686 posts)and he was in the back sitting like he was supposed to. I went home after that studied harnesses and got one for him. Every one of my animals are secured now. It is kind of a mission of mine to make people aware. I think it should be law that people have their animals secured in some manner for the safety of both the animal and people.

(130,895 posts)So good she didn't throw up! I never conquered that problem with my/our last dog, and didn't have a seat belt sufficiently 'owner friendly.' HAPPY you're having fun with her!

and I am so glad you have her secured with a harness. Poor thing with the car sickness but if she made it on trip 3 maybe it will go away and stay away.
