I haven't been coming here often these days, but I do notice that the submissions have really fallen off lately. I don't know why unless I am not the only one who hasn't been here much. This is about the only group that I miss.

I am sick at home with the horrible awful cold that is going around. Sent my husband off to New Haven by himself this morning
where he will get to have a fun weekend with our youngest son (playing percussion in a play up at Yale Cabaret this weekend). Meanwhile,
I sit here, going through boxes of kleenex, watching old movies, reading, and eating from a big pot of chicken soup I made today.

So...with a little cabin fever of my own, I'll put in a 2nd one.

9. My husband had it last weekend and I banished him

to the other end of the house in hopes I wouldn't get it and have it ruin this weekend. No such luck. Came down with it Monday night,HORRIBLE Tuesday and then much better Wednesday. Crashed again yesterday with a nose faucet that wouldn't quit (that's why the waste basket is so full! ) Gave up
last night--after taking Snowy to the pet resort-- and canceled my tickets to go. Hope they have a good time. Definitely made the right decision, though, to stay home.

What did you do with Lola? I decided to leave Snowy at the pet resort and give her a vacation from a sick mommy who would definitely not want to take her for walks this weekend.

I not only had that godawful cold, I had a 3 month old Lola and a broken right wrist.

My Kleenex use has deforested several counties. I've had this cold for seven weeks; hope yours doesn't last so long.

I hope the lovely bed setup helped to make you feel better. By the way, I too dragged a 13 gal trash bag full of Kleenex gathered in the house to the big trash can.
