Survivor Blood v. Water Episode 9 thread - No spoilers on future episodes please

A very predictable episode, other than the two tribals, but even though there were two it was easy to tell what was happening. Tyson and Gervase are in control of this game and Monica seems to think she is their 3rd. If its true, I do not think anyone can stop that threesome. Last night was the chance to do it. I am sure Tyson and Gervase told Hayden and Caleb as told Ciera and Laura that they are each in a foursome with them. I am not sure who is directing Tyson and Gervase, or if its a collaboration, but they are playing great.

I loved the return from tribal to start the game. Great blindside ousting Aras, and now we get back. Just yesterday Vytas and Aras were telling each other that the game was theirs, now one is on RI and the other knows he is soon to join. Tina makes another dumb mistake calling Tyson and Monica out as public enemies. Bad move Tina. At least she had the sense to tell her daughter to cut bait with her and try to move on in the game. Too late though, I think.

The IC was the best, the food challenge. I LOVE this one. Round one - 40 meal worms. Tyson, Monica, Vytas, Hayden, Gervase and Caleb make it though, with some vomiting and re-eating it. the next round is pig intestines. Tyson pretty much gives up, but Monica and Gervase pound through it. Last round, two live grubs. This is what took out Gervase 13 years ago (wow, has it been that long). It's brutal for them both. But Monica wins immunity. The best part of this challenge is when the losers realize what they ate, for nothing.

So its clear that Vytas is going. He does not have the idol, but to be safe the group of 7 with Tyson, Gervase, Laura, Ciera, Caleb, Hayden and Monica are splitting the votes, four for Vytas and three for Katie, just in case. Tyson briefly considers disclosing that he has the idol but smartly thinks the better and does not. Monica is insane and thinks she might be going home once she loses immunity. Vytas tries to pitch ousting Katie, but its no good. Bye Vytas. The big bad brothers fall quickly, which was the right move.

But back at camp, Monica tells the others that she voted for Vytas instead of Katie because he had been so aggressive toward her at tribal. Bad move. Tyson knows all too well how bad it is to mess up a split vote plan. It could have cost them. Gervase talks about ousting her. Since its a double tribal night, its a double IC night too. Its a balancing game where you have to pile coins on the hilt of a sword. Katie wins, which saves her but dooms her mom. Tina goes all over looking for the idol but is tracked by everyone else to make sure she does not get it.

The group talks about splitting the vote, but who goes if they need to oust someone. Sadly they do not show Tyson and gervase talking with anyone about it. I would love to know who is on the bottom. I think its Hayden and Caleb, but who knows. Monica in her paranoid state thinks its her. At tribal, tina wisely tries to play this, telling Monica she has a better chance with Tina and Katie than anyone else. Sadly, its too little too late. Tina's poor decision to tell Monica she was 5th in her alliance probably ended any chance of MOnica trusting Tina. Monica seems to have found a promise of final three with one of the pairs. I think its Tyson and Gervase, but we will see. She seems confident in it though. Tina goes to RI and meets Aras and Vytas. Next week, another duel.

I told my husband about Gervaise and the grubs. Even I can't believe I remembered that.

All I can say is I can not stand Monica and as many people as she has annoyed and turned on she can't last too long. I don't think Gervaise has any intention of keeping her and he is correct to worry about her being a wild card as well as annoying.

I would be horrible at this game but as I see it anyone going in who does not have a solid and turns on others openly giving paranoid reasons PLUS being annoying and having a big mouth can't last to the end IMO. I am counting on that. Mrs. Culpepper has to go! Why a woman who seems to be smart on her own and accomplished enough on her own would act like such a child needing her husbands protection is so off the charts offensive to me I can't stand the thought of her winning. Everyone else is OK by me. I am terribly impressed with Tyson this time around. His pairing with Gervaise is a good one for both of them.

Love your weekly analysis

far in my thinking. So you think the others don't care for her enough to send votes her way? Good. To tell you the truth, I really am having more trouble reading this group than usual. Most likely because of all the time spent dealing with RI. Still, you all are way ahead of me

Has Caleb said more than two words this entire season??? At this point it's Tyson's call as to who goes to the final three...Tyson, Gervase and (insert female contestant here)...

This appears to be Tyson's to lose, although a blindside would be delicious, but I just don't think this group has the smarts to engineer one without Tyson getting wind of it...

We shall see...next time...on Survivor!!!

Him, Gervase, Hayden and Caleb;
Him Gervase, Laura and Ciera;
and a final 3 deal with him, Gervase and Monica.

I honestly would vote for Gervase over Tysen right now, but I am waiting for the IC to be played at the right time.
