Not that I would miss an episode of The Big Bang Theory, but after I stumbled onto Getting On ( the US version) it would be hard to choose just one of the shows.
Anyone else like it?

(47,561 posts)Racked up a few episodes. Went to watch it and...we recorded it in Spanish!
I have seen the BBC version, but like the American version better. They have the same basic plots for each episode.

(42,770 posts)sister - her name slips me - Laurie? - is totally amazingly quirky. Using the same
method for lip enhancement for the ........leakage was genius. She
deserves an Emmy a million times more than most comediennes out
there at the moment, for sure.
do you watch Shameless? If you don't it's pretty damn quirky too.
think the new season starts in Jan...on showtime

(60,010 posts)I love Bill Macy.
The woman who plays the doc in Getting On, Laurie Metcalf, is fantastic!
I had to look her up, she looks so different in this role.

(31,174 posts)Great writing from which Laurie Metcalf, Alex Borstein and Niecy Nash created wonderful iconic and funny characters. Impressed the producers had the guts to forego the heavy-handed make-up and photograph the actors in hard, bright light, giving them and the series a ghastly look -- mirrors the sadness of the setting and subject matter. Simple show, very well done.

(60,010 posts)about physician assisted suicide, showed a much different side of the doctor.
and also a different side to the actress playing the terminal patient, who also is in The Good Wife as the ditzy red haired attorney, Tasciano, something like that name.
