We think that it is possible to win a progressive majority on the Fresno County Board of Supervisors and the Fresno City Council in 2014. Join with us on Saturday, October 19 (from 4 - 6 p.m.) and meet the candidates who are going to turn Fresno from Red to Blue.
The featured speakers at the CVPPAC fund raiser will be Phil Giarrizzo and Steve Wilensky who will tell us how this is going to be done. Giarrizzo was the consultant behind the stunning victory in the No on G campaign which stopped the mayor from privatizing city sanitation workers jobs. This campaign built a labor/community alliance that built the momentum to a change in local politics.
Wilensky is the Field Director for the SNOPAC, which is working with local groups to build on the No on G victory and to develop an electoral strategy that will lead to a progressive majority being elected to local government in 2014.
We want you to come to this event, become inspired, and help us elect good progressive candidates to local office. There will also be food, wine, and music by Jemmy Bluestein. This event will take place at 1785 W Dovewood Lane in Fresno.
Lets get an early start on building our war chest so that we can flip Fresno in 2014!
