Less than 65,000 votes...Miami didn't come through...

40.75% Turnout in Miami-Dade County, lowest in the state.

If there had been an immigration action from Washington, Crist might have won. Who knows?

Frankly, I still don't trust DRE's and tabulators in Florida, but there are just so many "if's" that I can't stand it.

republican win by not turning out to vote, because they realized they would get a better deal from Scott.

Sorry, I don't buy it.

much of Miami wasn't interested in this election. Immigration would have helped - including state policies (like instate tuition to Florida universities, medicaid under ACA, public school policies like multilingual testing, etc., etc.). For many in Florida though, immigration policy for relatives has become a single issue to vote for or not.

Crist didn't help himself in many ways in other parts of the state, but Obama could have excited much of South Florida if he had announced a different policy earlier and if Crist had support it. 10% more voters in Miami would have been all it took.

Just my view of it.

of what goes on with voting in this state. Lived here a very long time and so many points could be brought up. Machines, money, location etc. Perhaps since this area usually turns out for Democrats, Repukes might have played around since this might be the place of less suspicion.

I know I watched county returns back in 2000 and KNOW what I saw with numbers changing very fast after election was called for Gore. FL called for Bush and I sat in front of my PC watching numbers and was shocked. Didn't know at that time what was happening, but do now.

Didn't watch county by county this time because as I said... I always wonder these days. Was there that much apathy? For a Governor/person who was SO DISLIKED, and there's NO DOUBT that people really felt he was a crook, but also that he simply seemed liked a simpleton. Hardly stringing sentences together, shocking debates and lacking communication skills... just can't believe he won.

I've said it before, my grand-daughter has Repuke friends who told me they weren't voting for Scott, it was her first time voting and she told me all her friends couldn't stand him. This from a 19 year old, and one who lives in a very Red county. I know younger kids didn't vote as much, but the kids I knew did and they voted for Crist. I was very strong on making the point about voting!

Bottom line, we have to live through this AGAIN! I'm still not sure I've accepted it. I know I've been in a real funk always talking to myself about how to "deal" with it. But so much more is involved too given the national results! Those who don't live here may not understand how it feels, but there IS a certain feeling that something went wrong. I'm still hearing it, but know NOTHING is going to change! State Democratic Party is crap too, so who did what wrong is up in the air. Scott put 20 million of his OWN money in the last week, he must have felt he NEEDED to do it for SOMETHING! Too weird.

bill realize the Democrats, including Obama want it very badly. In fact, the President is going to use executive action to start the process going unless Congress comes out with something, which they won't
