5/23 Nationwide day of action to close Guantanamo noon-1pm Friday May 23rd
The Tackling Torture at the Top! Committee of WAMM, along with local Amnesty International Chapters, plans to participate in the nationwide "Global Day of Action to Close Guantanamo and End Indefinite Detention"
by demonstrating in front of the Federal Courthouse (4th Ave and 4th St), Minneapolis, Minnesota, (1 block from Light rail)
from noon to 1 pm on Friday, May 23rd.
Wear your orange Gitmo jumpsuit if you have one!
Otherwise we have extra jumpsuits, black hoods and also lots of signs and flyers. S
ome of us may also walk a few blocks over to the Minneapolis Star Tribune to ask to meet with their editorial page editors and leave educational flyers with them.
