Santa Fe and Abq ladies?

I'll be staying in Santa Fe for a week in May and wondering if there are any DU women to correspond/meet for coffee with. I'm 49, very mellow, love nature and art. I've been to NM a few times so I'm getting familiar with the place. I try to go on a solo trip every year to a quiet setting. I live in Los Angeles and the noise and congestion drives me nuts! Hope to hear from someone! Thanks!

I read your bio and we both like progressive politics, mysteries, and cuddling with our dogs. I haven't had a chance to fill in my bio yet. Let's keep in touch here in the mean time!

Let's keep in touch. I would love to learn more about NM from locals. I've been visiting for years but haven't really made any friends there. I can fill you all in on the craziness that you are luckily missing in Los Angeles I plan to just do a lot of nuthin' the week I'm there. I always hit the O'Keefe Museum and the contemporary art museum. I'd like to take a day and explore Albuquerque, as I've only spent a few hours in the old town area. Maybe a Ghost Ranch trek as I've never been there either. The folk art museum and museum hill for sure...Sounds like I will be busy after all!

At the risk of being offensive, Southern California is one of the places you could not pay me to live in. I've visited plenty of times, and a sister and a brother lived there for a number of years.

Five years ago I decided to move to Santa Fe, not Albuquerque because I did not want to live in a big city. For me this was a very good choice.

I was born here in Pasadena, that's how I ended up here. I would like to move someday, maybe to NM.

We're traveling in southeast New Mexico now and plan to spend the next few weeks in Carlsbad, Roswell, etc. We'll probably head up that way in May so, if I'm there when you all meet-up, I'd like to join you. We don't have firm travel plans. We're in a motorhome and pretty much just follow the weather.

You mentioned Ghost Ranch...I've been there and loved it. It's a bit of a trek up from Sante Fe but it's beautiful up that way. We didn't go into Abiquiu while we were there so I want to go back and do that. Have you seen the Joan Allen movie about Georgia O'Keefe? That was filmed at Ghost Ranch which is kind of amazing as they usually don't allow that sort of thing.
