I am not a fan of Cuomo but Astorino is a joke.

Rob Astorino selects Chemung sheriff to run for Lt. Gov.

Republican Rob Astorino has chosen a little known upstate sheriff - and a vocal critic of Gov. Cuomo’s gun control law - to be his running mate, the Daily News has confirmed.

Astorino, in clear bid to woo upstate voters upset with Cuomo’s SAFE Act, will name Chemung County Sheriff Christopher Moss to run for lieutenant governor on the GOP ticket, according to sources. Astorino is expected to announce the pick in a video to be released at 5 p.m.

"I think it is good balance for the ticket, its good geographically," said one GOP leader familiar with the choice. "They will work well together."

Those in the rural areas that were against Cuomo are did not need to be swayed.

Cuomo has to worry more about the left than the right.
