De Blasio Hits Up Yale Club For Election Cash

By: Courtney Gross

Democratic Candidate for Mayor Bill de Blasio held a fundraiser at the Yale Club Wednesday morning as he works to raise cash for the upcoming general election. NY1's Courtney Gross filed the following report.

Bill de Blasio wants to tax the rich, and he talks about a tale of two cities. But the question is now that we are in the general election, how is he reaching out to the city's influential business community?

This morning he was courting some leaders of the financial sector at a breakfast fundraiser at the Yale Club in Midtown. It's one of several deep-pocketed fundraisers he is having across the city in recent days.

NY1 was not allowed inside of course, but we were told about 40 people attended -- a range of folks from the health care, public policy and financial sectors.
