Yankees Captain Derek Jeter will be back in pinstripes, at least for one more season.
The team announced Friday that Jeter has agreed to a one-year, $12 million contract with the ball club.

Jeter is coming off an injury-riddled 2013 season.

(1,186 posts)I have much respect for Derek Jeter. Pay the man, for all he's done for the Yankees he's worth every penny of it.

(9,791 posts)Do I think he'll ever play day-to-day ball anymore? I don't - but it was a sweet ride. My hope is that the front office will give him a position that suits him and he enjoys.
BTW, congrats on your World Series win. Boston, it's residents and fans needed it. I hope it helps heal their and your pain.
