New McCrory Ad

Raleigh, N.C. — A new ad featuring Gov. Pat McCrory is now on the Renew North Carolina Foundation website.

The foundation has bought air time across the state over the next month for the 60-second spot, which features McCrory talking about his administration's goals.

"We're stepping on the toes of the left and the right to make tough necessary changes," McCrory says in the ad, apparently circulating through something that looks like a dinner party.

He talks about lowering taxes, beefing up vocational training and cutting down on waste and fraud in government.

"We're getting more efficient now with your tax dollars (and) plan to use the saving to reward our best teachers," McCrory says.

The tag line: "North Carolina's future is worth stepping on a toe or two."

A statement on Renew North Carolina's website is not attributed to any individual, but it explains: the group "advocates for policies and issues we support as a foundation committed to moving North Carolina forward."

The group says it supports specific aspects of policies McCrory has pushed while in office.

"An agenda that calls for efficiency in government, excellence in education and improving our business climate to put people back to work is not only in the best interests of the citizens of North Carolina today, but those who follow in the future," says the statement.

And McCrory wants to brag about how he and the GOP are responsible for putting the state in the toilet?

with a hint of desperation. The phrase "one term governor" comes to mind. Every teacher in this state despises that m-f'er at this point.

yeah...he has a nerve even bringing up the topic of education.

Put the state in the toilet and then run ads to "correct" it. Not that easy...

The latest survey from Public Policy Polling showed McCrory has a 35 percent approval rating, four points down from August, when it was at 39 percent.

People in North Carolina need to realize that this "crossover" voting thing doesn't work anymore. They didn't realize how much the right wing is in control of the R party-- they thought a centrist R governor could provide "balance." Not any more. I think they're starting to wake up to the fact that the RethugliCons have taken over Raleigh. And the damage to the state is extensive.
