Related: About this forumGov. Corbett: Lowest Approval Ratings in History of Franklin & Marshall Poll
"Another poll, another round of bad numbers for Tom Corbett. The latest survey from Franklin and Marshall shows that only 26% of registered voters think the Guv is doing a good job: the lowest for a sitting governor in the history of the F&M College Poll."
"2% of respondents said hes doing an excellent job, 24% said good, 41% said hes doing only a fair job, and 26% said hes doing a poor job."
"His problem: weak support from the GOP base. Only 41% of Republicans gave him positive marks. As did just 26% of independents and 16% of Democrats."
<snip>
"His best region is central Pa., where hes just five points in the red (32% to 37%). The worst is Allegheny, where hes under water 11% to 55%."

(12,328 posts)Would it have anything to do with central Pennsylvania being Corbett's "best" region?

(18,219 posts)And for that matter, who are the 16% of Democrats who gave positive marks?????
This, hopefully, is good news for us for the future, if he doesn't totally destroy PA first.

Crikey, Corbett's such a jerk. Now people are planning on playing the PA Lottery less, not more:
"Pennsylvanians do not want their lottery to be privatized, as Gov. Tom Corbett is proposing, according to a new Franklin & Marshall College Poll."
"The poll found that 47 percent of those polled strongly opposed the privatization with 17 somewhat opposing it. Only 7 percent were strongly in favor with 11 percent being somewhat in favor of the move."
"Most people polled, 75 percent, said they would play the lottery about the same amount as they do now if it were privatized, but a not insignificant number of people, 19 said they would play less frequently."

(776 posts)Frackers & the nat. gas industries pay NO TAXES AT ALL.
Semi tractor trailers do the damage of 8000 cars per trip. Taxpayers are subsidizing an industry that pays no taxes, destroys bridges & roads & will fuck the water supply for thousand of years if not longer.
I hate Corbett more than almost anything on earth!
I live in PA & will be out of here ASAP.
His son in law faces no federal charges cause he only broke federal laws in a small way.

(776 posts)........this screws people in the only area of PA who do not want to piss on him.
This is the train he wants gone http://www.amtrak.com/pennsylvanian-train
and if u live in Harrisburg & want to go west, you will go via NYC or Washinton DC.
If you live in Pittsburgh & want to go east you go via Washinton DC or Chicago IL.
If you live in Lewistown, Huntington, Tyrone, Altoona, Johnstown, Latrobe or Greensburg you are screwed.
Near Philly it is not to bad cause going via Washingon or NYC take the same time & costs the same but people to the west of us are in a bit of a jam.
