Just what is proper disciplinary action?

IRMO, SC (WIS) -
A political sign placed in a Midlands high school classroom has gotten a teacher in some trouble with the school district.

The sign, which reads, "The Road to Hell Is paved with Democrats," hung in Laurie Humphrey's student government classroom at Dutch Fork High School until administrators at the school found out about it.

"The principal became aware of the situation prior to media involvement and had already taken immediate and decisive action," said Mark Bounds, district spokesperson. "The sign was removed and the district is taking appropriate disciplinary action concerning the teacher."

Humphrey has been a teacher for 15 years, 11 of which she's spent with District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties, according to Bounds.

the cooking part. I do agree she was using her position to influence voters. She should be dealt with as such. If she wanted to post it in her front yard I would consider it in poor taste, but in her government class? No way. Suspend or fire her.
