Sheriff: Bus dragged Texas State student from DFW for 500 feet

Miss Taylor was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Texas State. Her body was discovered under a shuttle bus near Martindale, Texas.

SAN MARCOS -- A 20-year-old Texas State University student from Burleson who was found dead beneath a shuttle bus Saturday had been dragged under the bus for about 500 feet, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday.

Jordin Taylor’s body was found Saturday afternoon at Cool River Ranch, a music and river tubing venue, according to Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke.

“The bus had developed mechanical problems the night before,” Zwicke said. “When they went back on Saturday to fix it, they found the body.”

Taylor somehow came in contact with the bus while attending a fraternity party Friday night at the location, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release Monday.
